I cannot get enough of today! Right now, it is 62 degrees and has been sunny all day! It's been such a long, tough winter, this feels soooo good! I just got back from a walk with my dogs. Honestly, I wasn't really feeling up to it, but I forced myself because it is suppose to drop to 30's tonite and then really heavy rain and thunderstorms over the weekend. I think I am feeling the impending storms sad . Anyway, I'm trying not to focus on the flare and just be glad for today. Windows are open!!

Hi Miriam!!

It is LOVELY isn't it.  We take it for granted when the weather is nice, but its been such an awful winter, this is just wonderful!!

It got to 70 degrees here today.  I went out to my back yard and watched the doggies play and just lapped up the sunshine for about an hour. 

We're should be getting storms this weekend, so I just had to spend a little time outside. I felt pretty good for the first half of the day, but the last hour or two I'm feeling some aches and pains.  I guess you and I are sensative to the storms coming in.

Well.. let enjoy it while whe can!!

Yes I am very much affected by the weather. Seems to be the barometric pressure, when it drops, I really "feel" it, causes all kinds of fun things, pain, fatigue, bowels in an uproar...oh the fun! I guess the usual FM stuff.

I have always been one to walk my dogs. I use to be able to take 3 to 5 mile walks, even within the past 10 years or so, but lately, I'd say for the past year, I just can't do it. I will soon be 58 and I'm not sure if it's partially age or if the FM actually gets worse? I really wonder. I was diagnosed with this in my 30's, but I seemed to manage it much better than I am able to now. When I was going through menopause, my rheumy told me it would get worse and then get better. Well, it seems just the opposite has happened. I just get so frustrated with it, especially when the weather gets so nice and the sun is shining and I look at the floors that need washing and the dust settling on everything, and I barely have enough energy to walk for 30 minutes, still have a job to do. Okay, I'm done complaining...

On another note, isn't it fun to watch the pups play? Mine are so spoiled, they won't play with each other, they insist on playing with me! I do enjoy it, but on days like this, well, just one more thing to drain the energy...be well

We still have a little snow on the ground and it's a little cool - but it's so bright and sunny  :-)    I enjoyed my morning walk.

Hi Miriam,

The last time I attemped a "walk" I made it 2 blocks and my friend that lives around the corner saw me... and invited me over to her house.  I barely made it home after that, but that's when it was much colder.  I'm going to try to get back to walking when the weather get a little better.. its chilly and raining today.

As for the dogs playing.. actually mine are equally as spoiled.  They really don't play with eachother as much as I wish they would.  One of them (Chloe, a 2 yr old Yorkie -Poo) is a bundle of engery.  The other (Zeke a 9 1/2 yr old Cocker/ Golden Ret. mix) just meanders around the back yard wishing Chloe would lay off.  But he will stand there and bark at her as she flies past him nipping at his tail, ears, etc.  Pretty soon Chloe and I will be able to play fetch... her favorite game.

It got up to 71 here yesterday and the wind wasn't even blowing for a change. I walked Krissy several times but not too far at a time. We explored the rest of the property she had never seen. Can't say the weather is being kind to my body though, I've been having horrible headaches the past couple of weeks. I don't understand the barometric air pressure thing but it does seem to have an affect on me.

 

It is 59 and the sun is shining at the moment so I think we will get one walk in before the storms hit us. Maybe we will be lucky and they will pass us by like all the snow did. smilewinkgrin

 

Mirium your about a year younger than I am and I know it is getting worse each year.

I agree! It is a beautiful day. The sun is out and it is glorious! Makes me want to plant flowers and tomatoes. It is fun to watch the ducks play too. I think Lucy is getting ready to lay a batch of eggs again. Yay for spring!

We escaped the storms yesterday and just got rain but now we are under tornado watch til 10:00 pm and wind advisory AGAIN.

 

My head may very well explode today. Love spring but not this part of it.

 

When I got up this morning Ken told me to go look on the patio, OMG, it was covered with earth worms. He knows I hate all worms and I wanted to gag. I didn't even want Krissy out there it was soooo gross. They have now wiggled back to the grass. Bet the birds got their tummies full.

Marlee -  I keep a bin full of red wiggler worms and composting material on my back patio!  I was worried that the worms might had died because of the cold, but I dug through there yesterday and there were a bunch left!  Yay.  Worm composting is great!  turn Sue

It hasn't stopped raining here since yesterday morning. Yard is SUCH A MESS! I have stacks of towels by the back door to wipe 12 paws every time they go out and my back is killing me from all the bending. Okay, I think I'm done complaining.
Today, I spent most of the day with my mom, who is 87 and has Alzheimer's...don't ask! You really have to have a sense of humor. The things that come out of her mouth! Thankfully, she is not aggressive at all. Just the repeitiion can drive you up a wall!
Okay, now I'm done griping!!

Still loving this weather Mirium???  devil The storms hit just south of us, more coming tomorrow. This head ache is relentless, I'm ready to go north where it is still cold, never thought I would say that.

 

OMG Sue, I don't know what it is about worms but they gross me out. The ones that didn't get off the patio died and Krissy was eating them. Ken had to let her out all day yesterday cause I was sooo grossed out. Needless to say she got no kisses from me and won't til they stop coming on the patio. I haven't looked yet today. When we went for a walk yesterday they were all over the road where people had run over them and I come back home.

It was a nice weekend here to did alot of work in lawn. The trash in my yard was unbelievable the winds had been so bad I picked up a bagful of stuff. I have tulips and daffadils coming up I also have weeds in my flower beds. plucked them out and boy was i glad it started raining sun afternoon cause I was getting sore.

Be happy that Krissy wasn't rolling in the worms! Boy, does that get SMELLY! What is it about dead worms that smells so bad? Then again, my dogs will roll in anything stinky! I sometimes wonder if they are really pigs and not dogs!
Today it is sunny, but the yard is still under water. I managed to find a portion of patio and grass to take them out to exercise them, throwing food and all was well until Benji decided to run out to the water area and lie down in it!... I'm almost missing the cold weather...at least the ground was frozen!!!

I have 16 paws to wipe and 2kids and hubby my lawn is like a swamp. the wind has picked up so maybe it will dry up some.
My dogs will also roll in anything.... Right now there is a pump on top of the pool cover to empty water and cocker spaniel will play in that.. She loves water. WE take her on the boat and we have to tie the ski rope to her life vest or else she swims to far and we are afraid she will get to tired.So we pull her back in.

Oh No, No, NO those dogs that roll in the worms would be going to the groomers by someone other than myself. More rain, more worms on the patio,this is just sick. I have never noticed them before in the spring or when it rains. Ken is washing Krissy's face right now she came in with mud on her mouth and I don't even want to know what she was doing. She is getting groomed Thurs so the rain better stop.

 

I still want a maltese. You all can have your big dogs.

 

I just heard thunder so the rain is moving back in. I still love spring but not some parts of it. Tomorrow back to the 30s here.
