I'm 16yo & going to a program for kids with child's form of fibromyalgia

Hi! I'm michaela! I'm 16. I was kind of curious if anyone around my age has gone to
Children's Hospital Of Philly (CHOP). There are only 2 other programs in the country
that help kids with this chronic illness. The doctor who came up with the program is
called Dr Sherry. I was just accepted and I wanted to know if anyone has done this
program. If so, I'd like as much of your feedback as possible. I'm pretty nervous so
if anyone wants to respond, feel free! Thanks!!

Hi Michaela!

I don't have any experience with this hospital but did search around the web to see what they are all about. Sounds like it's a very intensive exercise and occupational therapy program to try and reprogram your muscles and nerves to not feel pain...at least that's what I understood it to be. This first link is a few kids talking about their experience there. Very open and it might help you. Also they give some links to YouTube videos of a gal who went through the program.

Hi there Michaela!!
Chutz did some good research for you!! Isn't she the greatest!!!
I just wanted to say I wish there was more programs like the one out there, for kids and adults. But the fact that there is such a thing is proof that the medical industry is FINALLY starting to get a clue and doing something to help us.
Please let us know how it goes, I'll be curious to see how it worked for you.
