 Stupid here wore heals yest, only 1 1/2 inches tho ; omg i went to my doc appt,

stopped at a store after that them my back said " I'm going to hurt you for wearing

them !! Well hey i usually wear these one pair of shoes,at times i'm ok with them.

I had to come home take meds and was in bed the rest of the night.

  So going to flats them heals messes with the back, apparently huh ?

 Anyone here wear short heals ??? << Today i had my MRI's of T and C spine.

wheeeeee what fun / 2 hours in that tube !!! lol will find out results soon.

Hi KitKat.

OMG two hours in the MRI tube. I feel yukky just thinking about that. I was terrified when I was in that thing and it was an open MRI. I want to be drugged next time. Probably it's not bad for most people but I'm kind of claustrophobic. I have not worn heels in 25 years. I wear 2 kinds of shoes- SAS sandals with an arch support and walking/jogging shoes with an arch support (I found a pair that fit great in a store and then ordered 5 more pairs online). I also use those gel pad inserts. I have trouble finding shoes because I'm an 11 narrow. Any other shoes hurt my back, hips, and knees. I can get by with the sandals year round because I'm in a warm climate now. Good luck with your results. I have my fingers crossed that all is well.

 awwww i'm so sorry you can't handle MRI's , before i left the house i took meds ,

and i took my own cd's to listen to, closed my eyes and faded away in my own

little world in there so i didn't have to keep thinking i was in such an enclosed place.

 Try that next time you need it done. As for shoes,no more heals for me.

I can sometimes get away with wedge style heels, or ones that have a super thick heel...but anything not as wide as my heel and I pay for it for days later.

I can't wear completely flat shoes. I can barely walk in those. I also can't wear high heels of course....but 1" seems to be about right for me. Also, good support is a must.
Sorry you are in pain from your heels.

I don't even own a pair of heels anymore shakehead .  They went out with my regular jeans, panty hose, and jewelry (my skin breaks out in hives with any jewelry). 

 

On the bright side, it's really easy to get dressed in the morning.  Pull out a pair of comfy elastic waist pants, a soft shirt, tennis shoes, (and a bra ONLY if I'm going out in public). turn smilewinkgrin

I also can do a thicker heel sometimes-chunky type shoes only, though. No skinny heels for me! Usually I only wear shoes with heels if I am going out to do something that isn't going to require a lot of walking. If I have to go shopping or something that does require me to walk, it's got to be comfy tennis shoes or my feet will kill me by the time I get home!

I do miss being able to wear cute shoes all the time. I love cute shoes!

 Good Mornin Sleepybug, the shoes i wore are clogs , a thick  botton and heal, Not a skinny heal or i would fall on my but !! I'll just have to look for a cute Very shory 1/2 inch heal ? I have a few dresses to wear.i Hate tennis shoes / i feel like im walking like a duck except when i'm going for a walk.usually just go barefoot or flip flops.lol can you see women wearing flops in a nice dress ?? OMG what a site i would be huh ?? lol have a wonderfull day off to grocery shopping now . {{{ Gentle Huggzzz }}}

I should have stated chunky heel, though. I do feel best in tennis shoes - I consider that a 1" heel. :-)

I used to love wearing heels and it almost makes me want to cry to think of the 20 pairs I have sitting in my closet that I can't wear. Sometimes I will just say "the heck with it" and then about an hour later I'm wishing I had another pair of shoes to change into. I really miss having a body that didn't hurt all the time.

My, if I only had a dollar for every pair of heels in my closet I could buy another pair of good walking shoes. I can't get the gumchun (sp?) to get rid of them yet.

Kitkat..a year ago when I saw my rhume I was wearing my favorite flip-flops and he scolded me to wear better shoes. I did and my feet, knees and hips are happier. :-)

Heels are not my friend.  A very short chunky heel just for the 1 hour I'm in church is doable, but can't wear them longer than that.

I worked at Nine West a few years ago and was so jealous of my coworkers who wore heels for their 8 hour shift.

It's okay though, my hubby is only 1/2 inch taller than me and prefers I don't wear them. :)

Look at Sofft and Softspots brand shoes for support and great, stylish, comfy flats and low heels - they are a little expensive but some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried. I have plantar fasciitis, but can still wear a low heeled sandal with a thick heel. I even have a Sofft wedge sandal that is 2 & 1/2" that I can wear once in awhile (if the activity involves lots of sitting!).

 I want to thank you all for your replys , some of you do mourn heals; i think i will be again also.I only want one pair that has a Very very short heal that i can wear with my dresses,; LOL appanently I'n not used to flat sandles, I will go shoe shopping this weekend for shoes.
