The conference went good. I took my cane and can walk a lot further with it. That is good news! I walked around waterfront Portland several times. We went to the Saturday market during a lull in the conference. and on Saturday night I went dancing! I paced myself: dance, rest, dance, rest! ha ha.
It was great. I even got on the swing that hangs from the ceiling and swung over the heads of all the people! I did not take the cane dancing! But I wasn't too worn out from the day because I used it all day.
I wonder why I haven't been using the cane more often! It gives me more mobility and takes some of the pressure off my hips and feet. So I brought it school with me and will use it when walking across campus. I can walk further without fear. And, as current thread is discussing, exercise does help.
