I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by three of the several doctors i saw within five years. However, it was apparent that my aches and pains were at there worst when I was dealing with constipation. Constipation was chronic and created inflammation throughout my body. Body aches as well as sinus problems, tinnitus, pressure in my ears and inflammation behind my eyes were ongoing problems that were at their peak the longer I remained contipated. I ate the right foods, drank the right amount of water, took every supplement recommended, even went through IV metal chelation. When I did in fact go to the bathroom the transformation in my body was amazing. I spent more time in bed then out for five years and saw a number of specialist in every area, spent time with an ND, saw a psychiatrist, and met with numerous alternative specialists. Read something online that has changed my life. There is a reason they call your gut your second brain, it creates 90% of the serotinin in our system. I had an amino acid test done and the precruser for serotonin was at 30%. I stared with 200 mg of zoloft (which has an active ingrediant that helps with constipation) split it up a.m and p.m.. I have a bowel movement every day and my body aches are yesterdays news. However,, i still have a problem with tinnitus and also am seeing someone to balance my seratonin and dopamine (taking too much of one alters the other.). I have no hint of fibromyalgia or CFS at this time and am now back to work. You may have difficutly convincing traditional doctor to try this avenue for you. They just don't buy it. I had to convince my G.I. Her office is amazed at the success zoloft has brought (I was considering a partial colon removal on top of having symptoms of fibro). good luck
