Hi Baloo-
I take Zoloft and it makes a huge difference in how I feel. And like Chutz said, it is nothing to be ashamed of. I think it is very easy to get down when you are in pain all the time with fibro- the pills make me feel "normal" and then I can deal with the fibro day to day.
I am prone to depression and about 13 years ago I ended up with severe depression. They tried giving me many antidepressants and I would get hives and rashes with everyone of them! I could not take anything and had to climb out of that deep, dark hole all by myself to the tune of 2 yrs! It was awful! When I got fibro a year ago, depression came with it. My Dr. prescribed Zoloft- she knew I was SO afraid to start it because I react to everything and my system is SO sensitive to medications. She looked at me and said "Could anything be worse than what you are going through right now?" And I said, "No". I had never been so low or sick in all my life.
I broke off small pieces and started that way, and low and behold, I was not reacting! It has been a godsend.
So please get some help- I don't want you to sleep your life away, there is alot of living left for you to do!
Let us know how you are doing-
Jill
