Hi all,
Due to my panic disorder, ovarian cysts and fibro steroids, ive gained alot of weight quickly, which has left me feeling awful about myself. ive hated and loathed my body for years now.
So i decided to do something about it. I got myself a personal trainer who specialises in rehab therapy and or sport injuries. She is totally affordable and we are starting my program of training in the pool. (i always swim in summer, just do laps and it helps my joints, but its winter now, so im going to an indoor heated pool) and the trainer researched Fibro and has put together a specific regime for me, including the swimming and also stretching, pilates and the gym. she is taking it very slowly to see how much i can handle without getting hurt.
i explained to her that its not just about weight loss, its about my health and lifestyle. i want to be fully mobile, to lose the rigidity in my joints. i am incredibly lazy by nature so this is a huge step for me and im actually really excited. has anyone else done something similar? how did it work out for you?
