The day has arrived, my son will be leaving for a month to go to Nanna's. Typical visitation, has been going on for the last 2 and a half yrs, but it kills me everytime he leaves, two months home, one month gone. Do any of yall have shared custody and how do you deal with it?
I try to use the time he's gone to recouperate and often my husband has his surgeries while our son is gone, but my son is the entire reason I get out of bed LOL Though hubby's not his biological father, my son decided he was daddy after meeting his own father the first time, actually helped me decide to marry my current husband.
During the time he's gone, I rest as much as possible, and the time I would have spent chasing him, I spend cleaning, but you can only clean and rest so many hrs of the day, does anyone have any suggestions to help me keep my remaining sanity? LOL I have several hobbies, including scrapbooking and lifetime membership to the local zoo (who knew Desert Phase California King snakes were rare in KS, and donating one to the zoo would get our family name on a spiffy bronze plaque usually reserved for large cash donors? LOL)
Though I harbor an extreme dislike of my ex mother in law, (ex hubby signed over parental rights to her) I know that my son needs as many ppl in his life who love him and that he will be a better person in the end for having such a large family, I mean, LOL he has 8 grandma's in total! He's also the only grandchild on both sides, as well as for his step-grandmother, he makes a killing at birthdays and holidays.
