Color Blind??

I was just wondering if any of you with fibro are color blind.  I just tried to order a gift on line for my grand daughter and they have these numbers intermingled with colors as a part of their sign in process.  I could not read any of them, saw no numbers at all.  I tried three different sets and finally had to have the hubby do it.   He has forever telling me I am mixing his navy socks with the black ones but I never paid much attention to it.

I guess we can blame everything on fibro.  I know eye distortion is a symptom some have, but this is a new one for me.  Maybe I'm just plain color blind, for no other reason than I am!

I am colored blind with dark and similar colors. I have a hard time telling black from blue and brown. and to think I am a painter. But well, that is just the way that it goes. I have always had troubles with dark colors. So don't feel alone.

Well I don't know if this has anything to do with colorblindness or fibro, but I have noticed something lately. I play a lot of games on my computer. Especially the "shoot at the colored doodads that are swirling around on the screen to make them go away" sort of games - you know what I mean! I do it in an attempt to keep my mind sharp and improve my reaction ability--and pass the time when I don't feel like moving off the couch. Well lately I find that I'm shooting the wrong colors. I thought I had a yellow ball and shot it at the other yellow balls but it turned out to be a green ball to so now I've made a mess of things. That sort of thing. No specific colors that I've noticed, I just used yellow and green as an example. So this is sort of a new thing, just in recent months. My perception of what color I saw is sometimes off - or something. I don't know. But it is very frustrating.

Sherrine...I also found a few sites that say women can be color blind but it is more prevelant in men.  I think my problem is that those numbers and dots  in the boxes were all shades of gray.  The hubby saw them just fine.  I remember when I had my ebay business I was always asking him if certain items were gray or brown, as I sold a cashmere sweater stating it was brown and it was really a charcoal color.  Believe me, the buyer let me know!

No biggie..in the cosmic cheme of things mixing black socks with blue ones is nothing!
