Hi, Melissa, and welcome! I'd try the gentle stretches, too. Also, use moist heat. That seems to help a lot. Hot showers and baths and some use a Bed Buddy. You can get these at Walgreen's and other places or you can make your own! Take a tube sock, fill it 2/3's full of raw long grain rice, and tie a knot on the end. Pop it in the microwave and it gives off moist heat due to the moisture in the grains of rice. It does feel very good.
Malic acid/magnesium supplements help many with pain and fatigue. I use these and they did help me, but they don't help everyone. It might be worth a shot. Also, vitamin D deficiency can cause pain and fatigue. You might want to be checked for that. I live in Florida and still have a vitamin D deficiency! I am presently taking 3,500 IU of D3 a day!
Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibromyalgia, including links to good stretching exercises, malic acid/magnesium supplements, and also a list of symptoms. You will learn a lot there. Many of the symptoms are like what you experience with Lyme.
I'm glad you popped over here and joined in! We have a wonderful group here that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too. So, I'm happy you are here and I hope to hear more from you soon.
