HOWDIE, Strangers!

Sorry to be gone so much. Miss you all. Beyond busy with wedding cakes and bride appointments. Have done two weeks of 5 and 4 cakes and tomorrow is 4 more. Having daughter Maryclare here to help with all the work has gone very well... AND... as an added bonus she knows how to help me with sore muscle fatigue from decorating! She had me do some different stretches and used accupressure on my back muscles and now I can function again. I wish you could all have your own Physical Therapist Assistant for the bad days.

Having MC, her hubby and the wonderful 32" Erin Marie (aka Tyrant Toddler!) in our home has become a real blessing. I'm sorry that they lost their home but the dimension that they have added to our lives is awesome. Tuesday her hubby and one of his friends put in a new laminated floor in my kitchen... in one day! I feel like I won the lottery! Her hubby is putting eaves troughs on the house, does all of the lawn & garden work, cares for the little one and generally makes himself useful since he lost his job.

MC is walking very well, has gotten most of her balance back and is talking about going back to work, maybe after Christmas. It will be two years in October that she became paralyzed from the birth of Erin and it's been a year since she started the long haul out of the wheelchair and back up on two legs. For those of you who sent prayers and were part of the miracle MANY THANKS! Her doctor is astounded that she is walking. We are weathering the financial stuff and managing to stay friends as we live the life of "The Waltons". It's gotta be tough on them living with us as a young married couple but MC says it beats living in a shelter! (LOL!)

One of the very worst and best things about her being here is that as her feeling and function returned to her spinal cord her Fibro went ballistic. She says pain is better than no sensation and she would rather hurt and walk than be comfortable in a wheelchair. She is an inspiration to me and having someone in my daily life who totally understands my Fibro and with whom I can share hints is so therapeutic for both of us. So that's the story. We are busy, in pain, working our buns off, raising a toddler, being a family, just taking it one day at a time. Gotta KOKO!

Wow Jeannie!! I saw this post and about fell off my chair...lol Just kidding but just reminding you how much you are missed. But keeping a roof over your heads is first priority. Remember to take some time for yourself once in a while and do give that little one a hug from us all...
