How can I blame this on fibro....and not just stupidity lol

Today I called the fire department to come get a "cat" out from under my porch. I tried to get it out myself, by digging a trench type thing so it could crawl out, but freaked out when I saw how big it's head was. I was certain it was a bobcat. The FD came and guess what? Turns out it was just a regular cat with a really big head LOL, I'm officially a moron.

What symptoms of fibro can I say caused me to do this? I don't just want to tell my hubby I'm an idiot lol.

Oh Mrs. T.  You see, fibromites have a distorted sense of perception and often times mistake an orange for a soccer ball and vice versa.  Our eyeballs sometimes roll around in their sockets giving us the illusion that things are in motion when they really are not.  It's really quite common to think a regular house cat is a mountain lion...or bobcat, as the case may be.  You are not an idiot, my dear.  I have often times looked quickly at the hubby and thought he was wearing a dress, when in fact it was just the ugly bathrobe his sister gave him for his birthday many years ago.

Furthermore...you are a wonderful person for trying to save any cat that was stuck...bob cat, Cat Stevens, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof...and digging a trench?  Bravo!  I'm proud of you!

Our fire departments around here won't rescue cats.

 

But if it makes you feel any better I have called 911 when we hit a deer, not for us but the deer, by the time the cop got to the scene the deer had gotten up and ran away. I also called 911 when a big hawk flew up and hit my windshield and they patched me through to the conservation department cause they are an endangered species around here, once again the hawk survived. But the funny part is a few days later I went for a massage and when I was walking back to my car I noticed something in my grill, it was a mouse that the hawk had in his claws when he hit the windshield, he didn't survive. I called DH and very calmly ask him if he would remove the mouse from my grill when I got home, he says,"what"??? He said it was really wedged in there after he removed it.

 

So you are okay Mrs T, at least I think so.turn

Haha, thanks you two. I felt so silly. I did call 911 one time over a deer me and a friend hit. I wish I hadn't though. The cop came and took a report and then, without warning us, he shot the thing in the head! I realize it had to be put down but he could have warned me. I just wasn't expecting it right then and it was awful :(

Mrs T, on my drive up to Alaska, my cat took off as I was camping one night in South Dakota. She got out of the truck and decided to stretch her legs in the local trailer park next to the campground. I had to stay at the campground for an extra 3 days before she was spotted prowling around, and she wedged herself under a trailer. She was having fun - she didn't want to go back into her kennel. I knocked on the door - no answer - I wanted to let them know I was going to get my cat from under their trailer! SO I crawled under there, grabbed her, and got stuck! A few minutes later I feel a little tap from someone's boot on my behind sticking out and the trailer owner said, 'Uhh, can I help you?" I said I was on my way up to Alaska but my cat escaped under his trailer, and if he wouldn't mind pulling by the ankles I could get out of his way. He sat down on his front steps and just laughed and laughed. Turns out he was from Alaska. Then he pulled me out.
