question about meds

I would really like your input.
I have struggled with fibro for a long time. Tried different meds on and off. Now my neurologist has recommended Savella and Lyrica. HAs anyone had experience with this combination? It has been a couple of weeks and I really feel no better. I thought that I might by now. I am still so achy and sore.

The dr wanted to put me on Lyrica but between the price and side effects I'm not sure which scared
me more. I haven't researched Savella yet. I've reached nearly 4 months without dr. drugs now hope
I can continue. Been on my herbals for 11 months now and feel so much better. Not as grouchy,
sleeping better, and hurting a lot less.

I'm managing on malic acid, prozac and ibuprophen. Not pain free but managing ok. I don't want to try anything that hasn't been on the market for at least five years. Too many drug recalls for me.
