Prayers for my husband and his family please!

Not too long ago, my father-in-law passed away. He was too young to die. When he was admitted to the ER, he presented with flu-like symptoms only. His condition then began to deteriorate. His heart stopped once and they were able to bring him back with CPR. He had a blockage in his heart. They fixed the blockage in his heart, put a stint in. His vitals steadied and it seemed the worst was over. But his kidneys were failing. They thought it was some kind of infection. Not too long ago, I received a call from my sister-in-law that his heart had stopped again and they were trying to bring him back again with CPR. I then received another call not too much longer from my husband. They were unable to bring him back. This is very devastating to my husband, his family, and to me. Please. We could all really use any prayers you could offer up. This is a very hard blow to take.

Chutz- Mom, thank you for all that you have done. I really think of you as a mother to me. And you are right.       Family does mean a lot to me. This was a great loss. Thank you for your prayers.

This is just so heartbreaking. I keep thinking that he is going to pop up on AIM or call. I'll never be able to talk to him again. I feel guilty because I thought he had the flu, so I didn't go down to see him when he was home. I was afraid of getting sick, so I didn't go down there. Now I wish I had. I wish I had had a chance to talk to him one more time...to give him one more hug.

Sassy, I'm so sorry about your FIL and prayers are with your family. I am the queen of guilt so don't beat yourself up over not seeing him you did what you thought was best for your little family at the time. He knows how much you cared.

And don't feel guilty about not going to see you FIL during his illness, I'm sure he'd want you to remember him in good health. We can't predict the future!
