i looked it up. you're right .. very detailed list.

am i being extra blonde though, are they basically the same lists? i couldn't find anything that CFS has that FM doesn't ... or the other way around.

i think i might print the PDF form and have it put on a t-shirt ... then when people look at me like i'm too young to act this old ... i won't even have to explain. i'll just point to my shirt and smile. :)

I was surprised at how many of these I have had, do have or they come and go. It's interesting that you posted this at this time since I was setting here this morning, after another night of feeling like I hadn't been to bed, thinking there has to be something else going on with me to feel this fatigued so early in the day, my doc has to be missing something. But after reading all those symptoms it put my mind at ease that all of it can be fibro. I have never been dxd with CFS but question if I do have it.

I can't remember the last time I felt like I had any energy. The fatigue has always been the worst part of FM for me, although the pain is starting to catch up. Diane

I have heard that some doctors think CFS and FM are the same illness.  Sure looks that way to me.

Last summer my rheumy sent me to a rheumy at a university teaching school. He had
wanted a confirmation of his dx. The rheumy there thought I also had CF, but to me both
CF and Fibro are one in the same. She said because my fatigue is a dominant symptom
and it has been long- standing I probably also have the CF.

I have read many times that that the dominant symptom of FMS is pain, while the dominant symptom of CFS is fatigue.

I have also read that CFS causes tissue damage, whereas FMS doesn't.

But I was also struck by the fact that this symptom list is identical. There is alot of overlap, but the diagnostic criteria for each differs tremendously.

Diane, do you think Sjogren's has anything to do with our fatigue??? I'm sure you have read at least 1000 times by now that after anxiety fatigue was the second major symptom for me but I obviously had Sjogren's and blamed all the dryness on meds.

 

Whether I have been dxd with CFS or not I do have chronic fatigue, I don't need a title to pin to it. The pain does override the fatigue somedays but I can still work through the pain much better than this darn fatigue.

 

Let's call what we have fibromyofacialpainchronicfatigue syndrome. smilewinkgrin

I blame my fatigue on the combination of all my disorders, and the fact that I have on and
off  anemia. When you have a combination of physical pain and emotional pain the body is going to become fatigued. I'm always tired and I'm always hurting.
