These links will take you to the Research Channel and specifically to lectures by Sean Mackey. He's a researcher/doctor at the Stanford Pain Clinic. He not only explains pain so very well but shares upcoming hopes for new treatments. One area of research is using functional MRI's and it's very interesting. I hope you enjoy listening to his lectures...I did, and I sure learned a lot also.

Chutzie, I haven't gotten through the whole lecture yet but I did get to the part about fibro just as DH got home and he watched that part with me.

Hi Marlee...

It does take a while to watch it but this man is wonderful. Not only is he a doc and researcher but he truly understands fibro and cares deeply about finding ways to help those who suffer. We need many more like this man. Would be fun to have him give an online chat or lecture here, huh? hmmmm....

hey guys. havent been on in awhile.kid has taken over my pc..HUNMPH!just wonderin,do you guys get like tremors...or feel like you're shakin on the inside?

yes i have internal vibrations and tremmors. I take magnesium injections which hseem to help. Oral magnesium and B12 may work too, they do for me but i am not a doc.

thanks merrygirl.ya....I have hypothyroidism too.get b12 shots bi-weekly.take 50,000mg of vit d a week,gabapentin.Although my specialist is trying to ween me down a bit.That would be nice as I put on 45 pounds since starting lyrica,then gabapentin.She uping my amtriphine a little at nite.But rite now I feel strange.I hate it.For the last almost 2 years Ive tried everything-then the other day I picked up Norwalk virus -so its goin out both ends!Tomorrow I see an neurologist as lesions showed up on my mri.And I guess my thyroid gland is shrinking,specialist sending me to endocrinologist.Thank God we have something to look forward to when we get up there!hey-do you have blisters that develop on your scalp?No one seems to be addressing that problem ..I think they cringe when they see me!Its nice to chat with someone with the same deal ya know?By the way Im in ontario canada.

OMG - I started with tremors bout 2 yrs ago - felt like I was holding onto a low voltage wire. Had an MRI - they thought MS. Results were normal - no MS. The nurse told me Lexapro can cause that. Who knows. Good luck.
