New here and new to Savella

Just a note to say hello, and introduce myself to you all. I'm newly diagnosed with fibro after suffering in silence for many years, and finally getting a doctor to really listen to me and look into my symptoms. I am taking Savella, and have been for a month now. I have had really great relief from it. Starting on it was grueling, side effects were bad, but I stuck with it, and am pretty happy to have some relief. Is anyone else taking this? I think it is giving me migraines, and need to figure this out. I was told that Imitrex (for migraine relief) interacts with Savella, and am wondering how others are handling this. Hi, Missy, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in.  As Robin said, we do have wonderful people here that love to help one another and, as a bonus, we really do care about each other, too!  I think you will like it here.

 

I don't take Savella.  Some members like it and some don't.  The same holds true with Lyrica.  I have stuck with ibuprofen with food and extra strength Tylenol.  I also take malic acid/magnesium supplements and extra vitamim D3 to help with pain and fatigue, too.  Many with fibro are deficient in these vitamins and nutrients.  There are links about these in the Fibro 101 thread that Robin directed you to.  There is a lot of good info in that thread and you will learn a lot!
