My heals hurt. When I am sitting down on my couch my heals will start to fill pins and needles and then when I get up my left foot HURTS.
Is that were the nerve endings are in your feet?

I have that at times, also arch, toes will have that pin/needle feeling. Get a shooting pin in my left shin at times.
Ok was gonna insert a smart comment towards my doctor, I would of felt better but it would of been wrong.

Yes, my heels hurt pretty badly at times, and at others, like lately, they haven't been bothering me. Is this all the time with you?

I also get this in my heels. I will also get the same sensation in my toes and at times in my arches....Lovely isn't it?

Both of my feet hurt all the time. I have found that wearing Crocs helps since they are cushioned. It helps with my knees and hips also. Do you have a lot of ceramic tile or hardwood floors in your home? I do. I noticed when I'm at my parents house (they have carpet all over), I don't have as much pain until I come home. I just wear my Crocs like I would houseshoes. By the way, my cushioned houseshoes don't help either. Try wearing a pair - they are not expensive and you have nothing to lose by trying. Good luck!

coaches wife, I do the same thing, the crocs really do help me too. I even forget and wear them to walmart (and they are pretty worn).

I will have to go buy me another set of crocs. I think my kids took off with them.
I am glad I am not the only one with crazy feet. The funny thing is...I have carpeted floors and I usually go around bare feet, because my shoes hurt my feet. Since this has started I got some arch supports to see if that helps. So I have been wearing my shoes more but it does not help.

Oh boy, foot pain. I am pretty familiar with that. Even though the pain you are feeling is in your heels, try massaging your arches. Rolling your foot around on a golf ball is good, too, for stretching the connective tissues in the foot. Ice, not heat, will help too. I had plantar fasciitis before the fibro, but have found that my feet are a lot more sensitive now. I've learned to nip the pain in the bud, treating the pain in the heels before it spreads to the arch. Good luck.

I has plantar faciitis and Birkenstocks are what took care of that problem for me.

Sherrine, the Birkenstocks were working very well for me until the fibro came along! I ruptured my gastrocnemius muscle pretty bad last year, and during the three months of physical therapy that followed I learned some pretty nifty tricks to keep pain in my feet to a minimum. I still heart my Birks!
