I just wanted to share a bit of my hand problems w/ you. I am right-handed, used it for all my heavy tasks and anything needing force and pressure. I got to the point I couldn't
open a door in my house w/o horrible pain in my hand/wrist. In that fleshy area between my thumb and pointer. I went to the dr re that and a few other things. The dr told me it is called 'DeQuervain's Tenosynovitis', and it's also called 'Washer Woman's Wrist'. 'What?' Her response was women would get that from washing baby diapers. Kind of dismissive! Now I mention this because, this hit me several yrs ago and all my children are adults. Nope, not a diaper in view. She suggested I get a hand brace and that would help it. I tired that, but I wasn't able to wear it 24/7 and get anything done. Oh boy. FYI, that dr had to go.
I massage my hand every day, use Sport Cream on it in the evening, ice it, stretch it out and rest it as necessary. I also have Tendonitis thru out my body. Hurts like crazy, but I use the same routine on the rest of my body, plus hot showers and my beloved heating pad.
Re the thirst, I drink a lot of water and I ck my sugar. Toooo much diabetes in my family, so I watch. I was wondering if it is more than thirst, but dry mouth. Perhaps Sjogren's. Just something to consider. Hope not!!
Hope you get some relief!
God bless. Alice.
