IBS/Muscle Spasms

Hello,

Haven't been on here for awhile. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the following?

1.) Small muscle spasms throughout the body? I mainly feel them in my arms and legs, not enough to cause pain, however just annoying.

2.) Able to visually see abdominal contractions caused by IBS. I usually can see my stomach move just a bit after I eat a meal! Is this normal with IBS??? The docs seem to leave that part out!

Well, I can't relate to the painless muscle spasms, but I have seen my abdomen contract sometimes - kind of reminds me of when I was pregnant. It's a weird feeling.

Good thread because I thought it was gas bubbles....reminds me of a baby kick. Ok, I'm odd.

I do have muscle spasms too, no pain with them. Usually in my hand, leg or back.

Your abdomen will move because the food and gas are moving through the intestines.  I see that too.  I don't believe that has anything to do with fibro.

 

I'll get spasms and other weird sensations.  Sometimes I'll feel like a drop of water is running down my leg, but there is nothing there!  Now that, I think, is fibro!

Yes, it really does feel like a baby kicking doesn't it? I am going through a back case of IBS as I type and it's not fun. I do get the achy muscle spasms but mostly they hurt more than feel achy. IBS is a terrible thing because you never know when it's going to strike.

I get the random little (and not so little sometimes) muscle spasms all the time. Especially when it is windy! I guess it's just too much stimulation.
