As you know I'm not diagnosed yet but I can tell you the sun came out yesterday and I felt sooo much better.

Question is fibro muscle or neurological......I have both......correct me if I'm wrong please but the twitching, seems more neurological.

The other day I had this sensation of water on my knee nothing there???  It was quick and happened for a second.

I also read that fibro is rare in the hands, I was carrying a pan to the sink and felt pain in my elbow area, muscle pain.

I'm so about ready to call the doctor again but for two reasons I haven't:

1. Gonna have a thyroid scan this week

2. Dang it as some symptom appears it's gone.  shakehead

The doctor told me I had neuropathy in my forearms and hands.....well dang it I must have neuropathy through my whole body.....rofl

Just wanted to say it does help keeping me sane when I read of other fibro folks having the same symptoms.  Also the anti-anxiety meds work too lol lol lol

I don't have anything neurological wrong with me (as far as I know, anyway), and I have have some of the same stuff you mentioned. My fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, etc. hurt all of the time. I also get weird "cold water" sensations on my lower body about once a week. I get pinpricks of pain in my toes and numbness that comes and goes (just seconds of it). My doc told me that as long as the neuro stuff is fleeting and doesn't stay, not to worry about it.

Fibro is such a crazy, crazy disease. Just when you get used to one symptom, it goes away and is replace by something even weirder. rolleyes confused

I LOVE the water dripping down the leg sensation...makes me wonder if I wet my pants.  I also get the sensation like I am being stung by a bee and have actually torn my sweat shirt off in public only to find there is nothing there...not even a mark.  My hands hurt also.  The gnawing ache in the middle of my butt cheeks that travel down the side of my legs and into my knee is the most annoying pain I have...can't sit around all day long like I want to...LOL!  With fibro, it's a new experience every day.  Last night the bones behind my ears where the bow of my glasses rest throbbed like a tooth ache.  Owie.  Oh...and twenty years ago I was told I had peripheral neuopathy in my legs...the tingling went away for 15 years, (only to return and then dx'd with RLS) so....neurological...muscular...who knows?

Thanks guys feeling better already, lol.

I've noticed my eye is twitching at times.......hope no one takes it the wrong way....rofl. I actually put my hand over my eye like I had a headache......I'm so paranoid.

I also have the dripping water feeling down my leg. It usually acts up when my sciatica
kicks in. So I guess I would blame mine as neurological. Donna, you crack me up (wetting
your pants). I know when I get that feeling, I'm forever wiping my leg.

I also get the twitching, pin pricking feelings and I get those without sciatica. It happens so
sporadically that I don't give it much thought. I write alot off to fibro but I also have other
disorders I could blame it on. Maybe I'm used to it so I don't really worry if it isn't hurting.

mad   Vulvodynia, anyone??  I hesitate to mention such an intimate problem, but as it's listen as a symptom on the Fibro101 link, hope it's ok - -  well, I'm not ok!!  I think my gynecologist really thinks I'm a nutcase, because he can never see anything but "maybe a slight irritation," but it's not slight, and for the last few weeks, it doesn't come and go, it just stays!  I do everything right, according to what I've read, but it doesn't seem to matter.

KellieJo, my fibro started out with pain in my elbows.  It was like I banged the "funny bone" (nerve) and I'm sure you know how painful that is.  Well the pain never went away for over two weeks.  I had visions of having my arms amputated to get rid of the pain!  LOL  (Those were the days I suffered from anxiety.  wink )

 

I have plenty of muscular pain and I also have the water running down the leg bit and also buzzing in my foot...like I'm stepping on a vibrator.  You do learn to ignore this stuff and it goes away quicker that way...at least it does for me.  So, you aren't having anything that unusual for a fibromite.

 

By the way, the doctors don't know what is causing fibro.  They are working on it as we speak!
