I love to walk, but it really causes me problems now because of my right hip (I have FAI, where the head of the femur doesn't fit into the hip socket properly - waiting to see a surgeon for what to do about it).
So...I've started AquaFit. I absolutely love it...the water feels good, it's easy on the joints and if I can't do a particular move, I just "jog" in place in the water to keep moving. I feel great when I'm done...a good ache when you know you've done a workout, but not so painful that it adds to the misery of your regular pain.
I have tried the deep water workout as well, but found it was a bit too strenuous at this time. If you have a chance to try AquaFit though, do it. It really helps the body feel better and I am sleeping better as well. By doing this and watching what I'm eating, I've been steadily losing weight too.
