hello,

I have fm. I was just wondering if anyone else suffers with constant head pains and dizziness too.

Welcome Peggy. You have come to the right place for help and support. I get lots of headaches and sometimes just pain in my forehead. I assume this is from sinus pressure. Headaches for me started in late teens and I am 64 now. I think most of my headaches start from tension and I know weather plays a big part in them also. Any weather change, especially rain or fog, will bring on horrible pain. I'm sure others will be along soon to welcome you. I get dizziness when my sinuses are stopped up/swollen from allergies.

Oh yeah, I've sure had head pains the last couple of days! I'm debating taking Sudafed for sinus congestion, (even though sometimes it seems to make my heart race.) I often have a dull headache, occasionally a migraine. Dizziness is one of my most consistent symptoms - dizziness and a feeling of shakiness.

But anyway, welcome to the forum, Peggy, I'm sure you'll find lots of good help if you keep coming back - I sure did!

Hi Peggy, welcome to our fibro family, If you haven't already, check out fibro 101, second
thread page one. you will find lots of good info for the fibromite. This is a great forum,
lots of caring and helpful people here that understand!

Head pain and dizziness can come from all sorts of things. Many fibromites have headaches,
but if they are in the chronic category I would see your doc to see what the cause is.

I get migraines, sinus headaches and tension headaches. Luckily the migraines aren't as
frequent as they used to be. I sometimes get dizziness with those. If I have a sinus
infection going on sometimes I will get fluid in my ear and that can also cause dizziness.

Dizziness is also sometimes a symptom of fibro. To be on the safe side, see your doctor.

Hi, Peggy, and welcome!  Many people with fibro also suffer from headaches and migraines.  I don't get the painful migraines.  I get the "silent" ones where I see the light flashes but no pain.  I'm very fortunate on that one.  I can count on one hand the number of headaches I've had in my life and I'm 63.  I'm sure that others that have this problem will be on to help you soon.

 

I'm so glad you found us and joined our family!  We have great members who love to help one another and we really do care about each other, too.  I think you will like it here.

 

Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum.  There are links to good info about fibromyalgia there and you will learn a lot.  There is a link to a list of symptoms of fibromyalgia and you will see migraines listed.

Welcome, Peggy! I have suffered from sinus problems all my life, and often have headaches and dizziness from them. As several others have mentioned, it gets much worse with weather changes. I have recently started doing sinus irrigation, and have had some relief from this. I think that it has prevented me from actually getting infections and having to take antibiotics on a couple of occasions. I seem to have much better luck with the premade aerosol product that you can by at the pharmacy as opposed to what I have tried to mix at home on my own.
