That's a darn good question! And I'm just goofy enough to look it up. <sorrowful state I'm in, I know...lol) Let's see, they do pollinate some varieties of orchids. As Silly mentioned, they are feed for other animals. And they are a vector for disease/bacteria. Oh joy!...NOT! But without the mosquito those bacteria would have died out long ago. And wouldn't we be sad. Gee, another endangered species snuffed out in a heartbeat!!
There are several other 'critters' that I'd not cry over if they didn't exist. Like fruit flies! Wait, scientists use them by the bucket full. OK, then.... those tiny ants that can get into your house/kitchen. And what about
fire ants?!!?
