smhair  Sence I had fibro i think im more in touch with my self.I care more about people and what they are going through and the out come.What i can do to help them.I never realy cared about pets now i cant live with out them i have a 2 year old lab thats my best friend his name is tator bug.my wife is awsome she really feels what im going through and is always there fom me and tator.I used to have the best of everything.Nice new cars nice house nice yard.But now its all changed.I built high end street rods for a lot of years.But now i dont i dont even own one now i drive a 75 volkswagen bug i built my home its only about 600 sq feet.my shop is bigger than my house.Dont get to use it much any more but have plans to build my wife a 72 bug.I must say i like being a simple man life just is more grand.GOD has blessed me so much no matter what i have to go through he is there and will always be .I hope all of you find what i have or come to the same peaceful play ground i have  FROM ME MY WIFE AND TATOR BUG WE LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH AND YOU ARE ALWAYS IN OUR PRAYERS  sonny wink

sonny boy, I think chronic illness does makes us more in touch with our sensitive side.
I think because we feel pain and so many emotions we are more empathetic to others.
We find out what is really important...our family and friends. I am truly blessed, my health may not be the best but I do have so many blessings in my life for which I'm
grateful.

Many of us here are animal lovers, myself included. I have 2 cats that I love. Our pets
are like family and they help us get through bad times too.

Being rich in spirit is more valuable than a bank full of money. Sonny boy, I believe
you are rich in spirit. There is a blessing in pain...it gives us an opportunity to find
out who we really are...it teaches us to have hope and faith that things will get better.

I agree, Sonny Boy - we appreciate good things so much more, and a lot of what we used to stress over just rolls right off - because it really doesn't matter.  We also have to be more flexible and learn to roll with the punches....we have no choice!  smilewinkgrin   And, we're more likely to believe other people who are going through a hard time even though WE can't see it.
