I had been on Savella since Jan and it worked like a charm.. But didn't realize it caused a depression of sorts. cry Insurance changed to a High Deductible and could no longer afford that medication. From another site I had been paying close attention to the use of LDN. It seemed to be helping a lot of ladies and these ladies had problems taking one of the top three meds for Fibro. I was able to convince my doctor and found I didn't have to ween off the Savella.. But you do have to be narcotic/opiate free before starting and I think that makes it less likeable for a treatment.

Was curious if anyone looked into it here. ? So far it has given me more energy then Savella did and reduced my flair of Psoriasis.

Hi Silly...I'm glad you posted on this topic. The LDN does seem to have promising results and hopefully more and more data can be compiled and published to see if it helps consistently. Then the use of it might be more widespread and available.

The origin of this medication is the lab of Sean Mackey at Stanford University. His lectures have been on UCTV and online also. I've posted this before but now is a good time to post again. This link will take you to one of his lectures where he talks about LDN and fibromyalgia. Hope this helps.

I'm on the Savella and love it. Seems all the warnings on everything I take warn of depression. Had not heard of this LDN. Thanks for posting. Chutz I will go to the link. I love the fact that so many are educated enough to be able to share these things. Thank you for posting

I have a friend that swears by the LDN. She feels so much better and if I didnt have so much other stuff going on right now I would definitely ask my doctor about it. When I am better then I will ask about it.

Thanks for the replies.. I do feel better actually.. course.. I added Tart Cherry Juice to help with sleep and arthritis and dl-phen to help with alertness and mood. but the LDN came first :) Just didn't see it much so wondered if anyone tried it yet.
