I Finally Got The Tests!

So I went back to my Doctor today and told him about how he had given my the diagnosis of fibromyalgia but that the symptoms that i am having are pretty bad and are scaring me and he did the bloodwork today to rule out other things. So if they all come back normal then we are going to hopfully have the anwser and eventually get me to a rheumatodologist if need be. I know that i did not spell that right lol!But i feel glad that ghe is doing the blood work to rule the other things out. I will keep you guys updated! Thanks for all the support it is so great to have support through this!

Hi Kat,

Fibromyalgia can make you feel pretty crummy at times. And it is not life threatening. So it is in a way the lesser of the evils. But it isn't the best thing in the world either. It helps to keep a good attitude, and take life one day at a time. I am glad that you are getting tests to rule other things out.

Hi kat, im glad your doctor is willing to rule out other things first. Like Karen said fibro isnt the end of the world. However it is always better to know for sure that it isnt something else.

Just waiting to hear back from him. I also just got put back on Zoloft due to huge anxiety issues. I am nervouse to be on it but it helped me so much the last time. Took my first pill this morning! I just hope everything works out. Thank you everyone!

I'm glad the dr. is doing more tests just to be sure. Fibro. dx is bad enough I hope everything else is OK.

yep, I too was worried and I also had an abnormal brain mri. Went through many more tests and NO MS!! woohooo..My uncle had it and because the symptoms are simiular and that mri but thank the LORD, no ms! no I have to have an EMG and a phsychoneuro something test..checking my cognitive function..suppose to be a 4 hr test. Has anyone else had this?? somedays I feel fine, until I am challenged to do or think about something out of my comfort zone..then you get a big reminder of what is going on and why you aren't working..sux!

Kat, I think it is good that your doctor is checking things out thoroghly.

Just remember, no matter what your diagnosis is, you do learn to live with it
and you can still have a wonderful life. There are never any guarantees in life
and all we can do is take one day at a time and have fun!
