Hello,

Does getting sick make your Fibro worse? I went to the hospital yesterday with EXTREME back pain and stomach problems. I apparently have an upper gi bug (so they say). Could my bug had made my back even worse. I haven't had that much pain since having back labor. I couldn't stand, walk or sit with the pain from the back. ER had no explanation has to why my back was hurting like it was. I have no other problems except with stomach. No fever, chills or any flu like things. Just stomach bloating and nausea.

I know that when I get any kind of bug or sickness I am down for the count and it takes longer to bounce back.  Hope you feel better

This sounds par for the course for me. Often times when I get sick I feel like a train ran over me. When I've been in the hospital for surgeries, I have extreme pain and a tough time "bouncing back". Frustrating stuff, that's for sure. Hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for the support. It's so frustrating. The back has calm down some but stomach still the same. I hate this time of year with sicknesses.

I have always thought that if I catch a bug it lasts a lot longer and can be more severe.
I still have not gotten the flu shot maybe Monday, I abhor paying for it, tha'ts how cheap we have become.

What makes me mad is that I went to the hospital on Wednesday. Called my doctor's office today and they told me to go back to hospital for re evaluation. Are you kidding. I can't afford these payments to the hospital. Why should I give the hospital more money because they didn't check good enough the first time. It seems that my son has the bug too as he has had diaherra 3x today but I'm still having problems so I'm assuming you're right Rose. It does take longer for us. The weird thing is I feel fine as far as fine is for us but just stomach issues. UGH!
