I just wanted to say what a good day it was. I started college today for the first time ever. My quick life story is this: Graduated high school in 1994, did 4 years in the Air Force (plane mechanic), hired by Bellsouth and worked for 10 years there (phone technician). However, I was laid off this past September and didn't know what to do. My hubby and I decided that I should go back to school. So, there you go. As I sat in my first class this morning, I just started smiling. Wow. I'm a college student and will be a vet technician in 2 years. Looking back in hindsight, I was upset about losing my great paying job. But after being diagnosed with fibro, it was a blessing in disguise. My phone job was an outside job involving climbing poles, being on roofs, in basements, etc. I wouldn't be physically able to do this job much longer. I firmly believe that God does look out for me.
