Hi, Jimmy, and welcome! Are you sure you have sciatica or could you have bursitis? The reason I ask is that I was having hip pain that went down my legs. My doctor said it was bursitis and that it can be from fibromyalgia. Both of these are considered rheumatic illnesses. Here are a couple of links that talk about that. Maybe this could help you.

I was surprised when he told me this. I didn't realize it. Sciatica and bursitis feel very similar. I'm always learning something new about this illness!
I used to have a lot of lower back pain but it didn't run down my legs. It sure isn't fun and can be quite debilitating. I hope it settles down for you. If it's really bursitis that you have, my doctor has me taking ibuprofen with food to help and it has gotten better for me.
Many on the forum own a Bed Buddy. You can get these at Walgreen's and other places. Or you can make your own by taking a tube sock, filling it 2/3's full of raw long grain rice and tying a knot at the end. Then pop it in the microwave and it gives off moist heat. This feels wonderful on the sore muscles. The Bed Buddy lays nicely around your neck, too. This will help you some.
I use malic acid/magnesium supplements and vitamin D3 supplements and they help with pain and fatigue, too.
Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibromyalgia and you will learn a lot there. There are links about the supplements I just mentioned in Fibro 101.
I'm glad that you joined our family. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. I hope to hear more from you soon.
