My pain has been excruciating the last month or so in my back and hips. I called my neurologist yesterday to talk about how bad this pain is.
1) I am informed that they received a letter from my insurance stating that Savella is no longer going to be covered without an exception so I have to fight for it... Ugh! I can't take Cymbalta because it makes me get the jitters and Lyrica didn't help at all. Dr. said we can try a larger dose of the Lyrica if we have to, but Savella has really helped. I am not in a wheelchair and I thank the Savella for that.. So, now I have to fight with my insurance co.
2) My pain has been terrible and I have to go back to work very part-time to help make ends meet around here and to help pay for little stuff for the wedding. Well, with my education (I have a degree in Travel/Hospitality management and am working on a Medical Transcription certification), I am limited on what I can do part-time. I took a job in a fast food co. Needless to say, I am going to be on my feet between 3 and 6 hours 3 to 4 days a week.
Well, my neurologist decided since Motrin wasn't helping, he was going to put me on Indocin. I looked it up, but have never heard of it before. Has anyone had any luck with this medication? Any good stories? Any bad stories?
Thanks for your help!
