Donna, hope your shins heal very soon. I know that hurts.
When I was home w/ parents, I used to move my room around every couple of wks. I couldn't stand things in the same spot for too long. My mother would say, 'You're just like your G'ma'. Her mother used to move the furniture around several times a month. Unfortunately, she would do this during the day while my G'pa was at work. He would work late at 2nd job, so coming in after all the lights were out and the family went to bed. He would walk in and B A M!
Since I've been married and in this itty bitty house, I can't move the furniture around. It used to annoy me no end. Now I can't move it anyway. The last time I tried to move the couch, I blew out my 'good' knee.
There was a saying yrs ago that I truly believe. 'Housework, if done right, can KILL you'. I believe Erma Bombeck said that and I have to agree w/ it.
When I was single, I had one thing I used to do over and over. We had a truly ugly dining room set. Big and ugly and determined to get me every chance it could. I would walk or run thru the dining room and somehow my toes would slam into those massive table/chair legs. My toes are a mess, but I've never broken any other bone in my body. I can still feel the pain I felt when I hit that wood. O M G !
God bless. Alice.
