Not everyone will agree with the new (sorta) hobby but hubby laid away a Smith & Wesson 38 revolver, no trigger, with the red dot.  I already have a 25 semi, 380 semi and another one but he doesn't trust me with semi autos.  He is a member of the local gun club with a pistol range so everything will be supervised.

I was pretty good with the other guns.  Bullets are so expensive tho. 

I was brought uo around a gun family, hunting and all so it is not foreign to me.  I had my 70 year old mon at the range and the slide wacked her area between the thumb and forefinger, she wasn;t happy.  This will be better for her.  I am rather excited about this so I thought I would share.

I've never shot a gun.  But I understand there is a recoil.  Wouldn't that hurt you when you shoot it?

Not too bad with the hand guns of the size I have. Many years my friend let me shoot his shotgun and I landed on my butt LOL.

I took classes and learned how to hold them which helps with the recoil

Im impressed Denise, I used to sell rifles and shotguns but have never actually shot one. Glad you got a new one to play with.

YOU sold them but never shot one???? confused    There is such a feeling of (I guess) power and adrenaline.   I could never shoot a live animal unless it threatened my animals as there are coyotes, bears and supposedly wolves around here.

My husband and I target shoot from time to time. I like revolvers. The automatics scare me and I flinch every time I shoot them. I have a 38 revolver and my husband has a 9 mm. We just target shoot for fun. We live in the country. We shoot at targets........no animals. I'm with you. Only way I could shoot an animal if if it were threatening my family or my animals...guess my animals are my family, too.

Vannie, I like semi auto's better. I want a Glock. My husband just bought an AK which I can't wait to shoot.

Oh man, Denise!! Us Pittsburgh girls are a special kind!! I've got about everything except a 50 caliber and man first time I get a chance at that you can bet I'm gonna put a big hole in the side of something :-). Nothing alive, just an old tree or something. I LOVE to shoot. I was brought up around it too. I've never had anything put me on my a-double "S" but I have wound up with a black and blue shoulder the next morning. My husband and I want to get a matching pair of .45 caliber sig saur pistols.
