Ok so I think all women hate trying clothes on but ugh how annoying is it when you have fibro?!???!!!! I have a wedding to go to next weekend so I made my way to the mall to try on dresses. One hour and like 15 dresses later i gave up bought the two that I liked the most to take home for the honey to see and decide on. But man do I hurt now. I was completely hunched over and waddling back and forth to make it to the car. I'm now at home laying in bed with a heating pad and flexaril in my system trying to calm the muscles. And what does my husband say??? Hey want to try the dresse on for me I would like to see them shocked Uhhhh no... nono I want to lay here and bawl my eyes out cause I hurt so much.... Ahhhh I love him hahaha

...good news is I got a dress (and one I will have to return) and now I just have to convince my body I can wear heels for a couple hours next weekend smilewinkgrin

Evey, I know just what you mean! Never would I have imagined in my younger days that clothes-shopping would become such a dreaded chore. And the very worst is have-to shopping: weddings, funerals, places where it really matters what you look like.

My daughters have already "told me" that I'm wearing heels to their weddings (someday.) I'm not promising nuthin'.

I'm glad you found a dress and it wasn't all a painful waste of time. Feel better soon!

I can't wear heals. Just can't walk in them. I know that you are going to have a fantastic time at the wedding. Just pace yourself as you go. I am glad that you found a dress to wear. Wear flats if you have to.

I got so very lucky when buying my tea length wedding dressi!!!! My GF and I were leaving a high priced store and decided to look at the reduced rack. My dress started out at 345.00 and was reduced so many times that I got it for 39.00, fit perfect!!!

Other times I buy clothes without tgrying them on and return what doesn't fit. Most Always the 80% off rack LOL and if I get stuck with it. it is not so bad!

I can go to two stores and buy straight from the rack and know they fit. That is great.
Until youiur daughter is getting married and all the parties that is going alone with it,
So I saw a dressed I loved but still had 6 months to so the dress was $100. I ended up getting it for $20, but while I was trying it on my D decided she wanted to see me in other outfits to see if they looked better. An hour later I stumbled out of the store with MY dress.
Now we have her bridal shower and I admit I do not have many rreally good clothes or much new stuff in years we went to the same store I got my $20 dress and ended up buying another dress there $100 down to $20 again. Now it just the shoes which will be nice and low healed and great to walk in.
Wedding don;t you just love them, I get to make 2 bridesmaids dresses [granddaughters]
Life sometimes gives you small things to smile about.

Hi, Kathy,

I have been thinking about you. I saw that huge cyclone on the news. Hopefully you are okay? You guys have really had a hard time lately with flooding and then the cyclone. It is just cold, cold, cold here. Lots of snow on the ground, too.
