After reading fibro101 (which is wonderful info btw) I need a new dr, but thats another issue.

After much research and $45.00 I can get a kit 30 day supply: Each Packet contains:
5 capsules FibroSence (containing 2400 mg Malic Acid and 500 mg Elemantal Magnesium) anf 3 soft gels Celadrin containing 1050 mg Celadrin.

I am in Canada and thats the best I can find in my area, I spend about 20. a month for all of my other vitamins, I currently take magnesium/calcium, milk thistle, cranberry , vit c, vit d, multivitamin, probiotic.

My question is will 2400 mg of malic acid be enough to help? Does this sound expensive to you?

I have not worked in almost 3 years and have applied for disability so money is very tight I certainly don't have any to waste.

That sounds expensive to me per month. I think Sherrine uses www.puritanspride.com . aI have ordered from there too and they are very reasonable plus the buy 2 get 3 free or something like that.

I honestly don't know how much is beneficial, I am sure she will chime in soon.

Grandma, below is the link to what I take.  They do ship to Canada...actually internationally.  In the US the shipping is only $4.95 no matter what size your order.  In Canada, you would be responsible for duties and taxes.  It says you can email them or call 1-800-645-1030 and you can see what it would cost for shipping and handling.  I have no vested interest but you will not get a better price and I think you paid a lot for what you bought.  Right now you can get three bottles with 180 pills in each bottle for $18.99.  That's a six month supply!

I just hate seeing you pay a lot of money for that and it's only a  one month supply.  And I don't have a clue what the other stuff is.  There are a lot of things out there with big claims but really do nothing but empty your wallet.

Try the Vigaglo web site for Vitiman Warehouse in Syracuse, New York. I've been going to Mike's shop
for over 30 years now and he will ship anywhere for free on orders over $50, even Canada. Check out
his site and see if it will help you...I know he's helped me tremendously over the years.

How many do you take? I simply cannot remember to take vitamins throughout the day. I can barely remember to take them each morning and evening and that is with a pill box reminder thingy.

I wonder, though, if taking vitamins in the middle of the day would help with the fog. Maybe I should get another pill reminder thingy for work for taking vitamins at lunch time or whatever. What do you think?

I take most of my medication and supplements in the morning and the evening.  I never remember in the middle of the day and lots of times it would be quite inconvenient then.  I take 2 malic acid in the morning and 1 or 2 in the evening.  I also do this with my calcium, diabetic meds, and coQ10.

My mom bought me some malic acid at the local natural type pharmacy and if I would have taken the amounts that actually help I would have gone thru the bottle in a week and a half and I know they weren't cheap, considering where she bought them.  I am going to go for the puritans pride as soon as I get some moola in my ck acct.

about the Malic Acid, the guy who wrote "From Fatigued to Fantastic" is trying to get people to buy his malic acid supplement that has other stuff in it  and it is about $44.+ per month.  I'm so discouraged because it seems like all the supplements are more expensive than what I would have to pay for drugs with my insurance. He is also recommending D-Ribose but I haven't seen any of you mention D-Ribose. Sherrine or GSD what do you think about his products.

It kind of looks like some of these guys are just out to sell stuff even though they might be doctors?????????? shocked

The guy who wrote that book is making money selling his supplements. 

I have to watch how much I am spending and (sorry) it won't be with him.  They all say theirs is the best but I have to go with my gut which says it isn't.

The reasons I like Puritan Pride is they have been around for over 50 years so they are doing something right.  Their prices are great.  I bought a six month supply of vitamin D3 (4,000 IU a day) and coQ10 (200 mg a day) for under $40...and that included shipping and handling.  That is very inexpensive.

 

I did have a problem once, called them and they immediately asked if I wanted my money back or a replacement!  I didn't even have to ask them.  I told them I wanted a replacement and it was at my door in four days.  I'm just very satisfied.

Thank you for your responses, I checked puritan and yes they ship to canada and the price is good so I will be ordering. I don;t care about all the hooplah about who says what, I think if this works for others it has a chance to work on me. Thats where I'm at right now I just need some relief and I don't want to increase narcotics to get it.

Just received my malic acid for $32. I got 3 bottles of 180 tablets. I haven't had a good day in a very long time and I'm ready to try almost anything.

I'm glad you got it.  Be sure to start out slowly.  Magnesium can cause diarrhea.  I only took one a day for a few days to see how they affected me.  Then I started two a day...morning and evening.  I am presently taking three a day...two in the morning and one in the evening.  Occasionally I will take another one at lunchtime, too.  Four is the maximum I will take.  I sure hope they give you some relief, Grandmaroses.  They have helped me.

Thank you Sherrine. I started the magnesium about 2 weeks ago and because of all the other things I take I have to start off slowly. I took 2 yesterday ( they are huge btw) and when I woke up this morning I was not as sore as I have been. I don't know if its because I have convinced myself this will make me hurt less or if its already working.

The pain lately has been horrid I try to carry on but I am reduced to tears by evening. I always thought I was tough but fm has shown me differently.

Thank goodness I have a wonderful supportive hubby who doesn't mind reheating the magic bag and cooking dinner.
