loving the fibro fog today

I'm having a rough two days, but who isn't? 

Today's fog has caused me to forget what today is - I was sure it was Saturday.  And on top of that I couldn't remember what year it is.  Guess I better rewrite that check!

The best part is knowing that I'm about to take my daughter to the bus stop, and STILL thought it was Saturday!

I'm actually looking forward to seeing what else unfolds today.  Have a great day everyone!

Now there's a good attitude! You might as well, fighting only makes the fog thicker...have an interesting day (but not TOO interesting!)

What is it with the word 'Saturday'? lol   For yrs, everytime I want to say 'Thursday' I instead say 'Saturday'. It's bad enough when you say that to family or friends, but doesn't look too good saying it at work. I don't even realize I've said it. Most times, the person I'm speaking to will question my day choice. I have to 'review' what I said to realize I did it again.

This past weekend, my DH and I went out to p/u somethings for our son's b/d. Thankfully, my DH was driving, b/c all of a sudden I could not remember what day OR month it was. You would think the fact we were shopping for DSs b/d would have given me some clue - No, not in this life.

I love the Fog.  Fog is my friend. It is here to bring humor into my life. There has to be some reason for it.

I think the Fog is thick for a lot of us right now - Watch Out World shocked

Perhaps it's due to that storm that's sweeping its way across most of the nation.  Whatever it is I have been Captain Spacey these last few days.  All day yesterday I was convinced it was January, I was putting a 1 instead of a 3 for the date.  I have asked my husband the same question so many times that he was just short of writing out the answer for me!

What a wonderful life!  Are we having fun yet? smhair

Oh, boy! EVERY time I've written a check, for the last decade at least, I have to stop and think, "month? 1? 4? 10?" and then wait for it to come to me. It doesn't matter if I'm writing a string of them, I have to go through the same process each time.

Again, I wonder - if we get Alzheimer's, who will notice? Not us!! (I'm not trying to make light of that terrible disease, but it has occurred to me.)

I am doing a correspondence course from home. It was supposed to take one year. I'm now in year three. I don't lack motivation - and I am really genuinely interested in my course - but you know what? I can sit there for an hour reading and then you can come up to me and ask me what I've learned, and I would be like, "ummmm, I don't know, but it has something to do with... something." At work I was almost written up because a customer told me off and went to someone at customer service to complain that I "needed to wake up" because I wasn't listening to her. I was struggling to pay attention. Brain fog makes me RETARDED! I was playing cards with friends and I kept putting the wrong cards down or say if I was holding five cards, right? I'd fight with myself for like a minute trying to figure out which card was which or how to get the right card out of my hand because I was confusing all of them with one-another. WHAT?? Doctor says it's the brain fog! Aaaaaalright! So I'm supposedly SANE! Wowwww.

Love that fibro fog. The other night I asked my husband where the dog was and his reply was, "Honey, he's sitting right next to you!" And, of course, he was...lol!!!

Hey, I heard the president whatshis name (ok, uhm, Obama), signed the date 2008 when he was in England. I don't feel so bad. :)

Let's all refer to it as 'the funny fog' mind u it has also made me panick in the past. I remember one day around the holiday season when my son was with his dads for the weekend, and i forget he wasn't at home, searched the entire appartment top to bottom, called my mother up in a panicked state saying i lost Keanu... Good thing she had the sens to know he weren't there in the first place, i was close to filing a missing persons lol. ah what adventures we have :)

OMG Libbyloo, that describes my fibro-fog quite well. I know I'm going somewhere, then I'm on my way and forget why I'm going there or I'll start driving the wrong way...DUH!! LOL Or I'll be in the middle of a sentence and just blank on my thoughts. Kind of creeps me out. Hope this doesn't make fibro into some type of dimentia:|
