I have the following conditions: Insulin depandant, diabetis, Ibs, sleep abnia, diabetic neuropathy, fatty liver, high cholesterol.

High triglycerides, asthma, rhematoid arthoritis, migraines, tia, epilepsy, dvt in 2000, dvt in 2006, nodule r lung, cyst left kidney,

herniated disc, neck and lower back, anaphylactic shock, plantar fascitis.

Allergic to: pnc, ceftin depakote, advair, dilantin, methergine, zithromax, iodine, flagyl, bactrim compazine. Im also allergin to beans,

peanuts, pollen, dust mytes, etc.

Meds taking: lantus, humalog, tegretol, tricor, aggrenox, albuterol, pro air, asmanex, spiriva, toradol, topamax, ibuprofen 800mg

I am contantly in pain, could it be fibromyalgia?

could be....look at the Fibro 101 thread, it lists symptoms. I'd try to find a doc that's educated in fm and see him. (It's worth it to find a GOOD dr no matter how long it takes) It will change your life, hopefully for the better, if you do find out. Are you fatigued a lot and find yourself having to stop and rest during the day? You're on a lot of meds....surely there's side effects to them. I did a clean slate where I stopped taking everything I was on so that I can truly figure out an accurate dx.

Hi, Butterflies, and welcome!  Well, we would be guessing just like you are.  We aren't doctors here but can help you by sharing what has helped us.  But,  you do need to be checked out by your doctor.  The reason is, fibromyalgia has many of the same symptoms as other illnesses and those have to be ruled out before a diagnosis of fibro is given. 

 

We do have pain, that's for sure!  I haven't been without pain in decades but I have learned how to get in control of the pain and live a great life in spite of fibromyalgia.  That's the key....that and keeping a positive outlook on your health and your life.  You will be far happier that way.  We all seem to have a lot of pain in our backs, shoulders, and necks and then have other pain elsewhere that usually travels from place to place.  One day my foot might be killing me and the next day my foot is just fine but my hip hurts.  That type of thing.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there.  Read the links called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.  These are good starting points and you just my see yourself there!

Hi there Butterflies,

I too would like to welcome you to the fibromyalgia forum. I hope that you are having a painfree day, as much as possible anyway. I have gotten use to the pain and barely notice it anymore.

Hi Butterflies and welcome to our fibro family, as Sherrine said we arent drs. but we will be here to listen and offer what advice we can. Please find a Doctor that believes in fibro and is willing to do the testing to rule out anything else it might be. Hope to hear from you soon.
