Low Dose Naltexone?

Hi all,
I recently went to a doctor who suggested Low Dose Naltrexone.
I was interested, however, I am currently taking opiates for pain management/migraines. So i would have to get off these first. That would definitely make day to day living more challenging.
I would consider doing it, of course, if I thought the benefits were there.
I am curious to know what others have experienced who are in my situation?

If you go off of your medications, please do so with doctor's assistance. Does the doctor that prescribed the naltrexone know what you are taking? I don't understand why he would prescribe both, but maybe there is a reason. I think that the other meds will still work for you. But if you were feeling any kind of buzz off of them, you probably wont anymore. Though those that need pain meds very seldom get anything other than pain relief. I wouldn't go off your meds unless that doctor advises that and then do it slowly.

I am seeing him again in a week or so. Am interested in this, and will most likely continue checking it out. Don't do anything for a buzz... wish i never had to take another pill in my whole life. this doctor seems pretty smart. yay!
