To me...this was my most problematic symptom. And then I found out I didn't have Fibro at all. I had lyme disease and a few lyme-related co-infections called Bartonella and Babesia.
It took me a look time to get to the root of my illness. All my tests were negative (including my lyme test) so I was told it was "in my head" or "Fibromyalgia." I finally found an ILADS trained LLMD who recognized these as lyme symptoms.
I've been in agressive treatment for 14 months and am 95% today! My dizziness issues which almost had me disabled are completely gone! My muscle aches, GI issues, vision problems, etc, brain fog, malaise, cognitive function, etc, are all gone as well! I only have a few more months of therapy and I expect to be back to 100%. I didn't think this was possible a year ago.
Had I not gotten a proper diagnosis of lyme disease I would still be suffering with "Fibromyalgia." I have since met several lyme patients who were originally diagnosed with Fibro. Based on my personal experience, the experience of other lymies, and lyme doctors / researches, I do believe that Fibro usually is caused by undiagnosed lyme disease.
You may want to check it out...or at least go over to the lyme forum and post your story / questions and see what folks say.
