Fibro and menopause

Hi everyone, just got home from the gynae who tells me my ovaries have finally packed it in and I'm now officially menopausal....yay I think one less issue to deal with

Just a question for all you ladies who are in a similar age group I'm 48 by the way, did the menopause make your fibro better or worse? I'm hoping better, not worse..oh and I also have ibs, arthritis,migraines and gilberts disease which means I don't metabolize fats so if I eat high fat food I go yellow, vomit and have terrible bowel troubles..

I am also 52 and my menopause has been easy. (knock wood) (and I did). I have had a few minor hot flashes, but no periods in months. Close to a year now. I hope that it stays this way. I have found that it didn't make my fibro any worse. Just the same old aches and pains as usual. So that is a good thing. Maybe less mamograms now. I think I can go every two years instead of every year. I hate those things.

I hope that you feel better. I hope you get more feedback on this issue. It hasn't effected mine that I can see.
