Last night, Hubby and I went out for dinner. As we left the restaraunt and walked to the car, I noticed dark clouds moving in. The wind picked up and the air became heavy. In a matter of a couple of minutes, I went from laughing to literally sobbing in pain. I have never had a flare come on so violently before. My whole body writhed with overwhelming bone crushing pain in no time at all. Usually I can feel a flare creeping up on me.
The ride home was excruciating and at one time I nearly passed out. I had my seat down in a reclining position and started lamaze- like breathing. I've had many painful flares in the past but nothing that compared to this one...it was scary.
Hubby helped me into the house, I put my pj's on, took a muscle relaxer and did some deep breathing while watching an old movie. Today, I feel like I was run over. The weather has affected me before but nothing close to what I felt last night. Today I'm taking it easy. Mother nature can really throw a punch on fibromites when she wants to.
Hugs, Robin
