Those chemicals in our food that are in "trace amounts" are often the very reason many of us are ill. It's not the "trace amounts" in one food, it's in all processed foods, so by the end of the day, the "trace amounts" are no longer trace amounts! Even in making your own bread, if you do not make your own flour and youbuy processed flours, you are still getting the "trace amounts" of chemicals.
It's those very chemicals that caused me to be so sick. It's sad that it cost so much more to eat healthy. Thing is, when they use the wax and such on the fruits, and the chemical sprays on the veggies, it's to make them last longer for transportation, not for our health.
It's a difficult issue to beable to change, especially when you have a family. I can say though, had I known the dangers of gluten, soy, all grains for that matter, processed foods, etc, my kids would of grown up eating a much healthier diet and wouldn't be suffering now from what I felt was good for them back then.
