Is being sleepy normal with Elavil?

I started on Elavil last night at about 9:30. All day today, I have been incredibly sleepy. It's 5 pm now & this is the most active I've been all day. I could fall asleep right now! I took Flexeril at about 2:30 pm yesterday & although it made me sleepy, not as much as the Elavil. Pain is reduced a bit but I'm not sure yet if the trade off is worth it. I don't want to sleep my life away. Luckily, my husband was off work today so he could do the driving. The dosage is 25 mg

oh...because I can't go the two weeks like I was yesterday, so we're cutting the pills in half! I have to be able to drive.
