Help! I think I'm going crazy with bug bites and cobwebs that don't seem to be there at all!

Ah yes, the infamous 'creepy crawlies'....I get those once in a while too. Luckily I'm not afraid of insects or arachnids. It's just the idea of something being on me that makes me go 'BAH!', lol. Yay human programming...

Oh, I get it. I have bites from invisible bugs all the time. I'm use to it now. I sometimes put my glasses on to see if there is a spider or ant on my leg--in the house. Nothing is ever there.

Hi, Going Crazy, and welcome!  You are not going crazy.  I have these things, too.  I especially love it when I think my underwear is wet or that water is running down my legs.  Fibro can be soooo much fun.

 

Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum.  There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there.  Good starting links are called Symptoms and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.

Oh wow.

It is so weird to hear other people talk about things I feel too. The water running down the leg thing....crazy.

Menopause can also include itchy, crawling skin feelings. I don't know how many of my symptoms are fibro & which ones are perimenopausal. I also get odd pin prickles, sensations that feel like bug bites, & instead of feeling like water's running down my leg, I get a feeling of wet spots on my legs sometimes, like I feel like I've spilled something on my jeans. It usually feels warm.

I use to run for the magnifying glass trying to find creepy crawlers on me...never found any.

It took along time for me not to keep wiping off a leg that I thought was wet.
Sometimes I get a feeling of a stray hair on my face, of course there is nothing there. Inside the left side of my head there is a constant sensation of rain...lucky that I'm not too crazy, lol. The joys of fibro :)

Wow...the things Fibro messes with. And some/most of the scientific community think this doesn't exist. Give me a break!!

The worst for me are the pin-pricks in my hands, especially when I'm busy doing something and I have to stop and go 'AHH!! That hurt!'. My husband just looks at me and says 'are you okay', and I'm like 'yep, Fibro'. LOL!!!

We really do have to laugh at ourselves and how disconnected our brains can be from our bodies, even though it really is sad.
