Hi, Raynboz, and welcome! I eat healthy foods, too. I rarely have fast foods and cook meals from fresh foods. I will use frozen veggies sometimes because they are just as good...I get the ones that are vegetables only....no sauces. I do have limited artificial sweetners because I'm diabetic but not much. I drink water with fresh lemon squeezed in it. That's my favorite beverage. I was a soda drinker for years. But, yes, eating well does help a lot.
I've never had guaifenesin help me at all. Most people don't. It is a medication, too. It's found in Robitussin, Mucinex, etc. It's the expectorant that is in this medication.
You might want to try malic acid/magnesium supplements. I use these and they have helped me a lot. Malic acid is found naturally in apples but I'd have to eat a bushel to get the amount I get in the supplements. There is a link in Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum...all about these supplements and where I get mine.
Many with fibro have a vitamin D deficiency, too. Actually many people, period, have this deficiency because we wear sunscreen in the sun and it blocks the vitamin D from the sun from being absorbed. I live in Florida and I had a deficiency. I take vitamin D3 now. There is also a link in Fibro 101 about that too. Actually, read all of the links in Fibro 101. There is a world of information in them.
Again, welcome! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. I hope to hear more from you soon.
