Hi, Candy, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in. You do need to find what helps you control the pain and fatigue. That's your number one priority right now. Has your doctor given you anything to help you? I have been basically a stay at home mom but I did work for several years with fibro. But, I had my pain under control, too. So, that's what you need to focus on right now.
I use malic acid/magnesium supplements, vitamin D3 supplements, a product called Curamin, and also extra strength Tylenol to help with pain and fatigue. I do keep moving and do a daily gentle exercise...I walk. I pace myself, too. All of this helps with pain and fatigue.
One thing about fibro is that what helps one doesn't necessarily help another. You will have to try various things to see what helps you best. If you are lucky, you will hit on it quickly.
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are links to good information about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are called Symptoms and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You will probably see yourself there.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
