Fibro isn't fun...for sure! I don't know what it's like to not have pain. But, it's been a part of my life for so long that I don't even think about it that much. I've just learned how to work around the pain to do what I want to do and you will get that way too. You feel lousy now but you could feel much better this afternoon. Fibro waxes and wanes. So, don't expect the worst. Instead hope for the best. That frame of mind helps as much as the pain medication.
Be sure to talk to your doctor about Prilosec, too. Studies are showing that long-term use can possibly cause osteoporosis. I was on Prilosec for seven years straight and developed osteoporosis. It hasn't been proven that's why I got osteoporosis but my bone scans were perfect until two years after I started taking it daily. Then the scan showed a moderate bone loss. Great, huh? They are close to putting a black box warning on this, from what I've read. Taking it occasionally isn't a problem but taking it every day can possibly be. So, do discuss this with your doctor.
