I hear you, evenkeel. I have fibro, arthritis in my spine, and sacroiliitis, which all cause a lot of pain. I've accepted it (most of the time), and I just try to deal with it as it comes. But if anything else starts to bother me (my TMJ, my chronic kidney stones, a new pain, whatever), sometimes I just fall apart. It's like my pain cup is full and one more drop just makes it overflow. Heck, I've even been known to fall apart over a canker sore (those hurt like the dickens) or just clothing that is irritating me. I have really sensitive skin, and I once had to make an emergency call in to my hair dresser to get it cut the next day because it was irritating my neck.
New fibro symptoms stink too. You get to where you are coping well with everything, and then you get a new pain.
I think short lived pity parties can be healthy. It allows you to get the frustration, grief, and anger out of your system. I'm hoping that your pain levels out to a tolerable level soon, and you can get back to your regularly scheduled life. Congrats on getting the credits transferred. That can be quite a big deal.
