Hi, Laboro, and welcome! I'm glad you found us and joined in. I used to use ibuprofen for the pain but developed bleeding ulcers so be very careful and ALWAYS take the ibuprofen with food. I was taken off the ibuprofen and just started Tramadol. It's a narcotic-like medication. It's not a narcotic but it's something I can take now that I'm prone to ulcers.
Malic acid/magnesium supplements have helped quite a few on this forum. Also many are deficient in vitamin D3 and that can cause pain and fatigue so some, including me, take vitamin D3 supplements. You can find out if you are deficient in D with a blood test. But they are now saying that everyone should take 1,000 IU of D3 a day. I take 5,500 IU a day because of my deficiency.
Gentle exercise is good for fibro. I walk daily as my exercise. Swimming and yoga are a couple other things that work for fibro. Do gentle stretching exercises, too. This help. If you sit or lay too long you will be stiff as a board and have more pain, too, so do keep moving. Pace yourself when doing things. It all will get done but in a different time frame.
Moist heat helps many of us. I always feel better after a hot shower. There is something called a Bed Buddy that you can get at Walgreen's and other places that you pop in the microwave and it will give off moist heat. That feels great on those especially sore areas.
Gentle massages really help me, also. I use a massage therapist from the American Massage Therapy Association because they have to continue their education to be in this association. That means they really know what they are doing. Here is a link that will help you find a massage therapist in your area. Be sure to ask if they work on fibromyalgia clients.

I use a gel that works great. It's called Sombra. It's on the line of Ben Gay but far better and not so smelly. I can put it on and go out and I don't smell like a walking medicine cabinet. Here is a link about it.

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links for you are called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. You just might see yourself there. There are links about malic acid/magnesium supplements, vitamin D3 supplements, and also there are some gentle stretching exercises on there, too. All the links are good.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
