Too Jointy to Be Fibro???

Hello All: I have only written in a couple of times before, but I read your posts and replies every day! Well, in my case there is a new development. My rheumy...who is not too bad, and at least has considered that I may fibro, is retiring. So he sent me to a new one. This one COMPLETELY blew off any suggestion that it might be fibro... All the tests for arthritis came back negative... low ANA, low RF, low CRP, low ESR. So the last rheumy said, "perhaps it is fibro." So he put me on Lyrica, which helps a little. The new guy says that since virtually all my pain is joint pain...feet, elbows, one knee, fingers, and one wrist...there is no WAY it could be fibro! Wow...now I am at a loss about what to do. This is the only other rheumy in town my insurance will pay for. So I suppose I could switch, but it would cost me...
What do you guys think? Any of you have joint pain and ONLY joint pain? That is, really no pain elsewhere? And what could I say to this new guy that might convince him? Thanks for any advice/support/guidance! And thanks for all you do...

Fibroprof- all my blood test were normal also and I have joint pain. You really don't need a dr. To manage fibro. Most of the symptoms can be taken care of by natural remedies. You don't have fatigue?

The bone pain is horrible!! I get that most frequently at the end of the day or in the am. Muscle pain is all the time.

Perhaps print out a symptoms list that verifies your position. Do you ever have muscle pain?

I, personally, would try the other rheumy or call and verify that he "believes" in fibro. I get so tired of these docs telling what we should or should NOT be feeling.

Most of my pain is in my joints, but I also meet the requirements for the pain spots for fibro.  I also tested negative for everything else.  My doctor said that basically you have to rule everything out and after doing that you most likely have fibro.  Also, some of the other causes for this pain can take a long time to actually show up on the tests, so, just because you test negative for them now doesn't mean that later it could end up being a form of arthritis.  My family doctor is so supportive and says it absolutely exists and it's a man, which is nice that he supports this diagnosis, since it's more common in women.  I went to a rheumatologist to verify, but my family doc handles my pain management.  He is now taking me off zoloft and tramadol because they aren't working well any longer and I've also been dealing with migraines and vertigo due to the migraines since Sept., so, I've been on disability since.  Dr. Oz was just talking about fibromyalgia recently and gave several things to help and to avoid.  I bet you can find that information on his website.  I just can't remember them all right now.  I haven't tried the natural remedies, but my doctor believes that you can have joint pain and it can be fibro. I'm new to this forum and so glad to have found it.  I'd be interested in knowing what works for everyone else.  The weather makes my fibro much worse, I feel like a weather predictor....lol  There are days that I can hardly move.  I was just technically diagnosed last year, but I'm sure I've had this for several years.  But it took me switching doctors to get a diagnosis.  My doctor also says the worst thing to do is to NOT move, it is very hard for us, I know, but if you can try to do some stretching several times throughout the day it might help.  You are not crazy and you're not alone...my doctor said those words to me and I'm saying them to you!

Robin, taking pictures is a great idea! Can Fibro cause migraines? Or maybe it's the medications that I'm on for the fibro that make the migraines worse...I don't know. All I know is I'm tired all the time and sick of not being able to drive or work or even taking a drive in the car without feeling awful.
